The Law Of Cosines

The law of cosines can be applied in order to determine an angle of a triangle given 3 sides, or to determine the length of a side given 2 other sides and an angle. We can determine this with the following formula

\begin{equation} a^2 = b^2 + c^2 - 2bc cos(<A) \end{equation}
